Are we ready for the digital transformation? If it's up to the technology, yes, as was shown at the Smart City Expo.

What a week full of innovation, inspiration, and great conversations at the Smart City Expo! The many wonderful initiatives and technological solutions presented there confirm one thing: we've really come a long way! The foundation and tools for the necessary digital transition to address our societal challenges around mobility, energy management, climate, and urban development are within reach.

We look back on a successful event that put the future of our cities in the spotlight. It felt like the breeding ground for the next generation of smart solutions.

Accelerating together through the Dutch pavilion

We were honored to be part of the Dutch pavilion, organized by the DMI Ecosystem .

DMI, which stands for Dutch Metropolitan Innovations (Ecosystem), is a joint initiative of the Dutch government and the G40 Cities Network. It was established to accelerate and comprehensively address major societal challenges in the areas of housing, mobility, and climate. To this end, it brings together government agencies, businesses, and knowledge institutions and is fundamentally committed to the secure and trusted sharing of data, the creation of standards, and the development of innovative solutions to accelerate processes.

The role of the Open Urban Platform

Our Open Urban Platform (OUP) is designed as the connecting platform between data and applications. While we're just one piece of the puzzle with the OUP, we're convinced that together we create the crucial ecosystem needed to truly realize this transformation.

Looking back and looking forward

We look back on a successful week where we were able to make many valuable new connections. Our special thanks go to the Dmi Ecosystem; it's wonderful to work with so many innovative and inspiring people.

With this energy, we look forward to the future! The way we want to collaborate, the principles that underpin the OUP, are no longer up for debate; we can now do it together.
